Surface and well water, Disaster Operations

- In socially deprived and poor regions, the population usually relies on the supply of water from polluted streams, ponds or boggy rainwater catchment basins.

- This muddy brackish water is contaminated with feces (animals) and riddled with pathogens.

- Microorganisms and algae grow unchecked in these freely accessible surface waters.

- Since there is usually no possibility to boil and filter this water, humans and animals ingest all these pathogens.

- Dysentery, typhoid fever, threadworms in the intestines, skin rashes, inflammation of the respiratory tract and eyes, kidney failure, liver damage, tissue overgrowth, the list of diseases caused by ingestion of these contaminated waters can be continued endlessly.
- APW masters and generates cavitation in a controlled process (see APW The Inventors). The implosion of the cavitation bubbles releases large amounts of energy (5,000 °C / 1,000 bar) in a very small space (micrometer) in relation.

- The released kinetic energy acts directly on the cell walls of bacteria, viruses, microorganisms and algae and destroys them.

- In cooperation with vatn-tech, APW offers a patented filter technology that filters out all suspended solids and most microorganisms upstream of the APW process.

- With the APW technology, drinking water can be generated from contaminated surface water using purely physical processes - without the use of chemicals.

- The APW system and the vatn-tech filter in combination with a tank, PV modules and a battery storage can be installed in a container and thus form a mobile self-sufficient unit with which drinking water can be generated from any surface water at any location, independent of the surrounding infrastructure.

- The APW container technology is particularly suitable for use in flood disasters, as the mobile units can be quickly moved to the site and deployed independently of any infrastructure.
